Winter is a popular time to visit the Caribbean, between the months of November and April, as the average temperature is still hitting 26 degrees and rainfall is very minimal.
For higher temperatures and fewer crowds, the summer is a good time to visit — outside the peak travel months. Winter is busier and best if you prefer to avoid rainfall and winds while still enjoying tropical temperatures. What should I wear on Caribbean holidays?
When packing for a Caribbean holiday, you need to account for the high temperatures and the humidity. Lightweight clothing that is loose and comfortable is ideal for both day and night. For the evening, men should bring at least one long pair of trousers and women a dress or long skirt, as some restaurants will have set dress codes for guests. Comfortable shoes are a must and flip flops will be ideal for the majority of your holiday.
As you will be in and out of the sea and pools, it’s recommended to take multiple items of swimwear, as the humidity can mean it takes longer to dry. It may also be beneficial to pack a light jacket with an umbrella for rainfall and if the temperatures drop in the evening. What should I pack for a Caribbean island holiday?
Packing for a Caribbean Island holiday is similar to packing for any other tropical holiday, from sun protection, swimwear and clothing, you will need all of the usual essentials. Firstly, you need to ensure you have all of the correct travel documents, such as a valid passport, tickets and/or boarding passes.
Sun protection and lip balm with an SPF are essential, alongside after sun and bug spray to keep away those pesky bug bites. As well as the obvious sun protection products, a hat and a pair of sunglasses will also help keep the sun from your face.
If you’re planning on snorkelling, you could bring your own gear and waterproof cases and bags are ideal for beach days to protect your important bits and electronics. Before you leave, it’s worth checking if your resort provides towels and if you will need adapters for your electrical goods. What is the weather like for holidays in the Caribbean?
The Caribbean’s tropical climate brings warmth and sunshine all year round, supporting Caribbean holidays as the destination of choice for many holidaymakers. Added to this, the Caribbean Sea has an average temperature of 27 degrees. During the summer months, from May to October, the temperature heats up and the islands see the most significant rainfall, which is heavier on north-east facing coasts and mountains. This is when the Atlantic hurricane season affects the Caribbean, bringing slightly increased rainfall and stronger winds, however, major storms are very rare. Plenty, depending on where you stay. Complimentary non-motorised water sports include snorkelling, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing, pedal boats and Hobie Cat sailing. Your resort can also arrange scuba diving, boat trips and fishing.
On land, most resorts offer tennis, pickleball, nature walks and complimentary bicycles, and every resort has a spa for body treatments and relaxation. Are the resorts suitable for family holidays?Yes — within the collection, St James's Club & Villas is our dedicated family resort: a 100-acre peninsula with a kids' club, two beaches and space for all ages. Our resorts call two islands home, each with its own character:

Our standard wedding package always includes clergy/magistrate, taxes and gratuities, wedding arch at a gazebo of local tropical flowers, bottle of champagne, single tier cake, bouquet of local flowers, buttonhole for groom and a wedding coordinator.
